Jill Robinson, an accomplished basket and gourd artist will share her work and her work processes with us at our next general meeting – Monday (3/11/19) from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm a the Wimberley Community Center.
Jill works out of her home studio here in the Wimberley area. She is an active member of her local guild, Hill Country Weavers, as well as several state guilds, including the Texas Basket Weavers Association. Jill’s work can be seen at exhibits and art shows in Texas and you can find her teaching locally and at conventions all over the United States.
Eight or nine years ago, Jill got interested in gourds. She has started by taking a gourd class here and there at basket events, and eventually found herself attending the Wuertz Gourd Festival and taking classes with gourd artists from across the nation. Color, carving, texture, naturals – Jill was hooked!
And when you see her work you’ll be hooked too!
