Pamela Lamoureux intuitively paints essence and emotion rather than realism. Her focus is line, and her color sense is powerful. “It is rewarding when viewers connect with my work and discover feelings and meanings that I may have captured unconsciously. My growing passion for art has become a journey of self-discoveries and surprises.”
Born in California, Pamela Lamoureux also lived in New Mexico and Texas, where she attended the University of Houston. “I’ve drawn as long as I can remember. I use a variety of mediums including acrylics, watercolors, pastels, pencils, inks and anything else that will make a mark.”
In 1990, Lamoureux was one of the three founders of the Wimberley Valley Art League.
The first solo show for Lamoureux hung in the Chelsea Art District of New York City for six months in 2008. Her art hangs in private and corporate collections throughout the United States and in Europe.
Pamela’s studio and family home have overlooked the Cypress Creek where it flows into the Blanco River in Wimberley, Texas, since 1988.
