Brenna Beasley

I am a lifelong student of Art History, with a particular love for the Impressionists, Post Impressionists and Expressionists. Suzanne Valadon, Diego Rivera and Vincent Van Gogh are among my favorite artists of all time.  I have always been fascinated with art and artists, having spent hours poring over books and creeping through art museums worldwide.  My own artwork always stems from an intuitive, personal narrative. Frequently, I am inspired by the landscapes and cultures around me.

I am the daughter of a cultural anthropologist.  As a child I lived in the Yucatan as well as The Sonoran Desert. My grandfather was a cattle rancher, and my family have been Texans for seven generations.  I have resided  in The Texas Hill Country since coming to The University of Texas at Austin in 1986.  The marvels of nature never cease to amaze and inspire me in this beautiful region of Texas.

I am fortunate to be able to paint almost daily, indoors and outdoors.  It is an absolute joy for me.  Color play and whimsy always add light and laughter to what I create. A true love of vivid color has been at the core of my very soul for as long as I can remember.  I have dabbled in many mediums over the last twenty-five years, but at this time prefer painting with acrylics and oil. I currently have artwork displayed at Art on 12 in Wimberley as well as various juried show galleries. Please feel free to contact me here: bftbeasley@gmail.com
